LGfL VoIP: Introduction to the Service
The LGfL VoIP site is designed to give system management functionality to the schools using the system.
The site offers different functionality to different users. By default, no one has permission to access anything other than parts of the Phonebook within the site. In order for each person to have access to the correct functionality, the correct permission needs to be granted. Permissions available include allowing staff to view billing data, become a VOIP administrator, view parent contact details, enable call recording, or view fax history (if applicable).
Site permissions
The following 2 permissions need to be granted either by the Headteacher or by Wavenet.
A Headteacher that wishes to grant the 2 permissions listed below can use the VoIP website to do so. To do this, please visit the Settings tab and select Head Teacher Settings >> User Management.
-
VoIP System Administrator - This person will have the ability to configure all phones and their settings, create school-wide settings such as global speed-dials and perform other phone administration tasks.
-
VoIP Accounts Administrator -This person will have the ability to see all call charges incurred by the school.
To have permissions assigned by Wavenet, a request needs to be made by raising a support case with the Service Desk and specifying which permission is required by each person's USO account.
The permission to record phone calls and listen to call recordings is granted, by default, to the Headteacher only.
